We were honoured to host Norio Maruyama, the Japanese Ambassador to Ireland on Tuesday.
He was delighted to see how much Japanese that 3rd – 6th class have learned over the past few weeks. Ms. Tarrant’s class sang a beautiful song in Japanese. They also shared some Irish culture with the Japanese Ambassador and played some tunes on the tin whistle.
Norio Maruyama was so impressed by the children’s interesting projects, catchy Haiku poems and gorgeous art inspired by Japan! A huge thank you to our Japanese teacher Ash for teaching the children over the past few weeks.
